Neha Naidu of Kahuto Pacific, Fiji

PGRSC 2026 | Speaker Spotlight: Neha Naidu Connects LiDAR, Local Knowledge and Geospatial Workflows in Fiji

Where does water go as it moves through an urban landscape? Neha Naidu of Kahuto Pacific, Fiji, brings two contributions that connect detailed terrain information with practical geospatial workflows.

A GIS Specialist working with geospatial analysis, LiDAR processing and mapping, Neha manages and supports the Moana Data Service. Her work helps connect high-resolution datasets with infrastructure planning, environmental assessment and geospatial decision-making.

Her Nasinu case study explores how LiDAR-derived terrain data, GIS hydrological analysis and local knowledge can be brought together to investigate surface-water flow pathways and areas susceptible to flooding. The presentation offers an opportunity to discover the approach behind this work in an urban Fiji setting.

A second contribution connects Moana Data Service, FME and ArcGIS, exploring how data validation, transformation, spatial analysis and web mapping can support repeatable workflows for flood assessment and infrastructure planning.

Join Neha to explore how connected data and local perspectives can support useful geospatial applications across Pacific communities.
