On the 05th of May 2022, PGRSC received a delegation from the Governement of New Caledonia at USP Campus.
The New Caledonia Delegation was composed by Mr Vaimua Muliava, member of New Caledonia Government in charge of innovation, and digital transition, Ms Emmanuelle Caffaro, French High Commissioners Office in New Caledonia and Ms Rose Wete, Foreign Affairs Department New Caledonia.

Dr Wolf Forstreuter, Chairman of PGRSC, with Salote Viti and Arti Pratap from PGRSC Board, supported by Prof Surendra Prasad, Head of School of USP presented the history of PGRSC and its implication every year for more than 30 years of the GIS and Remote Sensing community in the Pacific.

Mr Vaimua Muliava recongised PGRSC as an important organisation that takes care of Pacific Islanders and support PGRSC continuation to do so. It is an meaningful step to reinforce the relationship between New Caledonia and PGRSC.
It was also a great opportunity to discuss about the next 2022 Pacific Island GIS and Remote Sensing User Conference where delegations from all the Pacific are expected. Assistance from French High Commissioners Office and Foreign Affairs Department of New Caledonia was discussed to get more conference participants from french speaking states.
