Have you heard about URISA’s GIS Leadership Academy? It’s a 5-day training program that covers topics like GIS strategic planning, organizational capacity, change management, team-building, etc. It is presented 2-3 times each year in the U.S. and Canada. It is taught by GIS professionals and is a unique and popular program. Since 2007, nearly 2,000 individuals have attended. We’re trying to gauge the interest of the Hawaii GIS community in this program to encourage URISA to bring it to Hawaii.
