Requirements

Required Qualifications and Experience

University degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Science, Geography/GIS, Statistics, Humanitarian Affairs, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with six years of relevant experience.
Previous experience in the implementation of Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) programmes or similar information management activities is a requirement;
Previous experience with population monitoring and mobility tracking processes a strong advantage
Strong technical skills with regards to database handling and awareness of data protection best standards and practices is a key requirement;
Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and ability to use internet and email;
Knowledge of Geographical Information System (GIS) softwares, ArcGIS or QGIS;
Knowledge of statistical applications, R, Power BI, and use of tablets;
Familiarity with mobile data collection technologies and GPS;
Good communication skills, efficiency and flexibility;

Attention to detail and quality and capacity to meet deadlines.

Fluency in Tok Pisin and English is required.

Travel required: The incumbent required to travel to the field.

Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.

Additional information

IOM covers Consultants against occupational accidents and illnesses under the Compensation Plan (CP), free of charge, for the duration of the consultancy. IOM does not provide evacuation or medical insurance for reasons related to non-occupational accidents and illnesses. Consultants are responsible for their own medical insurance for non-occupational accident or illness and will be required to provide written proof of such coverage before commencing work.
