SUMMARY:Geospatial World Forum 2026
DESCRIPTION:About GWF 2026\nOver the past decade\, the Geospatial World Forum (GWF) has emerged as a transformative platform—convening global leaders\, policy makers\, technology innovators\, and sectoral champions to build a shared vision for a geospatially empowered world. From data sovereignty to digital infrastructure\, and from climate action to AIdriven location intelligence\, GWF has helped shape how societies perceive\, value\, and utilize spatial knowledge. \nAs the world faces shifting geopolitical alignments\, digital disruption\, and urgent sustainability challenges\, GWF 2026 will address a defining trinity: Sovereignty\, Economy & Society—affirming geospatial’s place as an anchor of resilience\, equity\, and innovation. \n\n\nConference Theme\nSovereignty\, Economy & Society \nIn today’s interconnected and interdependent world\, sovereignty is no longer limited to political boundaries—it extends to data\, infrastructure\, and digital autonomy. At GWF 2026\, we explore how nations and communities are asserting spatial sovereignty to secure their interests\, enhance governance\, and define the rules of the digital era. \nAt the same time\, geospatial intelligence is reshaping economies—from Geospatial Knowledge Infrastructure to space and geospatial sovereignty\, and from digital supply chains to utilities and networks\, AEC\, agriculture\, defence\, and intelligence. As the global economy becomes increasingly data-driven\, geospatial knowledge is emerging as a cornerstone for inclusive\, sustainable\, and resilient growth. \nAnd at the heart of it all lies society—informed citizens\, empowered communities\, and equitable access to public services. Whether it’s climate resilience\, disaster response\, \, land rights\, health\, or urban planning\, geospatial infrastructure is enabling a more transparent\, participatory\, and resilient social contract. \nThe theme—Sovereignty\, Economy & Society—is not just a conversation; it’s a call to action. GWF 2026 invites global stakeholders to co-create strategies that uphold rights\, accelerate innovation\, and prioritize people.

SUMMARY:International Conference on Remote Sensing and Geoinformation (RESG2026)
DESCRIPTION:About\nRapid development of space-borne\, airborne and ground-based remote sensing technologies in recent decades has provided a wealth of earth observations. In the face of rapid global change induced by human activities\, such as land use change\, resource exploitation\, greenhouse gas emission\, and so on\, increasing active and passive remote sensing observations allow us to address issues related to global change\, extreme weather events and sustainable development. However\, the atmosphere\, hydrosphere\, biosphere\, and lithosphere of the Earth system are interconnected and interact with each other. Thus\, there is an urgent need to develop the next generation of quantitative remote sensing methodology for the extraction of multidimensional and multi-scale geoinformation to effectively address these concerns. The theme of this conference is on the next generation of quantitative remote sensing methodology and geoinformation for the sustainability of human society. \nThis conference will bring together remote sensing\, environmental and earth system scientists to share new geoinformation derived using next generation quantitative remote sensing techniques and new ways to utilize this information to assess global changes and to achieve sustainable development goals. It embraces remote sensing of all components of the Earth system including biosphere\, atmosphere\, hydrosphere and lithosphere. It also encourages data-intensive studies of physical\, biological and chemical processes using big data and artificial intelligence techniques\, development of Earth system models to utilize remote sensing information to address Earth system science issues\, as well as sectoral applications of remote sensing techniques to agriculture\, forestry\, extreme weather events and grassland management. This conference aims to foster information exchange\, data share\, and collaboration among participants from various countries and regions\, so as to promote concerted efforts in global environmental protection and sustainable development. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nConference themes:\n1. Biospheric Remote Sensing \n2. Atmospheric Remote Sensing \n3. Earth Energy Budget Remote Sensing \n4. Ocean and Aquatic Remote Sensing \n5. Geological and Cryospheric Remote Sensing \n6. Urban Remote Sensing \n7. Cross-themes
