SUMMARY:International Conference on Remote Sensing and Geoinformation (RESG2026)
DESCRIPTION:About\nRapid development of space-borne\, airborne and ground-based remote sensing technologies in recent decades has provided a wealth of earth observations. In the face of rapid global change induced by human activities\, such as land use change\, resource exploitation\, greenhouse gas emission\, and so on\, increasing active and passive remote sensing observations allow us to address issues related to global change\, extreme weather events and sustainable development. However\, the atmosphere\, hydrosphere\, biosphere\, and lithosphere of the Earth system are interconnected and interact with each other. Thus\, there is an urgent need to develop the next generation of quantitative remote sensing methodology for the extraction of multidimensional and multi-scale geoinformation to effectively address these concerns. The theme of this conference is on the next generation of quantitative remote sensing methodology and geoinformation for the sustainability of human society. \nThis conference will bring together remote sensing\, environmental and earth system scientists to share new geoinformation derived using next generation quantitative remote sensing techniques and new ways to utilize this information to assess global changes and to achieve sustainable development goals. It embraces remote sensing of all components of the Earth system including biosphere\, atmosphere\, hydrosphere and lithosphere. It also encourages data-intensive studies of physical\, biological and chemical processes using big data and artificial intelligence techniques\, development of Earth system models to utilize remote sensing information to address Earth system science issues\, as well as sectoral applications of remote sensing techniques to agriculture\, forestry\, extreme weather events and grassland management. This conference aims to foster information exchange\, data share\, and collaboration among participants from various countries and regions\, so as to promote concerted efforts in global environmental protection and sustainable development. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nConference themes:\n1. Biospheric Remote Sensing \n2. Atmospheric Remote Sensing \n3. Earth Energy Budget Remote Sensing \n4. Ocean and Aquatic Remote Sensing \n5. Geological and Cryospheric Remote Sensing \n6. Urban Remote Sensing \n7. Cross-themes

SUMMARY:6th International Electronic Conference on Remote Sensing (ECRS 2026)
DESCRIPTION:Welcome from the Chair\n\n\nDear Colleagues\, \n\n\nIt is with great pleasure that we announce the 6th International Electronic Conference on Remote Sensing (ECRS 2026). The conference is organized by the MDPI open access journal Remote Sensing (ISSN: 2072-4292; Impact Factor: 4.1) and will be held online from 19 to 21 October 2026. \n\n\nOn behalf of the Conference Chair of ECRS 2026\, we invite you to participate in ECRS 2026. We aim to bring together researchers\, professionals\, and students from around the globe to share and discuss new developments in remote sensing and its broad range of applications. The conference will feature sessions and presentations on the following key topics: \n\n– AI in Remote Sensing;\n– SAR Remote Sensing;\n– Remote Sensing in Semi-Arid and Arid Areas;\n– Remote Sensing in Tropical Areas;\n– Remote Sensing in Urban Areas;\n– Remote Sensing of the Environment;\n– Remote Sensing for Cultural Heritage Protection;\n– RSVQA—Remote Sensing Visual Question Answering.\n\nECRS 2026 will place a special emphasis on fostering participation from young scholars\, supporting disadvantaged communities\, and engaging researchers from developing countries. We are committed to fostering inclusive participation and ensuring that cutting-edge remote sensing knowledge and technologies are accessible to researchers worldwide\, regardless of their geographic or economic circumstances. \n\n\nAs a fully online event\, ECRS 2026 will present a unique opportunity for remote sensing scientists and practitioners worldwide to connect\, exchange knowledge\, and engage in lively discussions without the constraints of travel or geographic boundaries. All accepted abstracts will be available online on Sciforum.net during and after the conference. \n\n\nWe are pleased to announce that outstanding contributions will be recognized with awards for the best oral and poster presentations. We encourage all participants\, especially early career researchers and those from underrepresented backgrounds\, to actively engage and present their work. \n\n\nYour participation is essential to the success of ECRS 2026\, and we warmly invite you to join this vibrant scientific forum. We look forward to your contributions and to a dynamic and fruitful conference! \n\nKind regards\,\nConference Chair\nProf. Dr. Timo Balz\nThe State Key Laboratory of Information Engineering in Surveying\, Mapping and Remote Sensing (LIESMARS)\, Wuhan University\, Wuhan 430079\, China
