2022 Pacific Island GIS&RS User Conference and FOSS4G SotM!

UNOOSA Workshop - Applications of GNSS Technology

Details: To focus on GNSS technology and its applications, a five-day Workshop will be held in Suva, Fiji, from 24 to 28 June 2019. This Workshop is being organized by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs in cooperation with the University of the South Pacific (USP) as part of the activities of the United Nations Programme on Space Applications. The Workshop will be hosted by USP. The Workshop is cosponsored by the Government of the United States of America and the European Commission through the International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite Systems.


Pacific Islands GIS & Remote Sensing User Conference 2019

Details: The Conference runs over 4 days with over 60 presentations centered on GIS and Remote Sensing while day 5 is reserved for workshops and discussion. The conference provides a platform where 3 types of participants; GIS/RS users from governments, utilities and private eterprises, scientists and researchers, GIS/RS companies providing hardware, software , data and other sevices meet and interact. 


FOSS4G SotM Oceania 2019

Details: The inaugural FOSS4G SotM Oceania was an overqwhelming success and this November, we're buildingon the buzz and momentum by bringing FOSS4G SotM Oceania 2019 to Wellington, New Zealand. Once again the event will include a full day of workshops, a two day conference, a community day and social events in the “coolest little capital in the world”. Lonely Planet’s words – not ours! The geospatial open source, open data and OpenStreetMap communities will gather to talk about latest technologies, share stores and meet peers from throughout Oceania.
